We are a single firm practising under the name of Glanvilles from our offices in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. In Hampshire we go back to 1884 when members of the Glanville family started their firm in Portsmouth. They later merged with another Portsmouth firm. Our Isle of Wight office derives from two long established firms, Damant & Sons and Buckell & Drew. Members of the Damant family started practising in Cowes in 1841 and Damant & Sons remained in that family until 1953. The merger with Glanvilles took place in 1988. William Way Buckell started the firm in Newport in 1843 and his descendants remained partners in the firm continuously for 155 years. Buckell & Drew merged with Glanvilles in 1998. We converted to Glanvilles on 1st April 2009. Our registered address is: The Courtyard, St. Cross Business Park, Monks Brook, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 5BF. Our LLP number is OC342526. As a full service law firm we provide legal services to both individuals and businesses. As a firm whose people are our core asset, we continue to invest in on-going training and development to ensure that our technical expertise remains at the forefront of legal developments. We also continue to invest in our IT and management systems to facilitate and support the effective delivery of our legal services to clients.
